Sangeeta Anand is an independent public and private company board member, advisor to startups and former CXO technology executive. She brings extensive cloud, cybersecurity, SaaS and AI experience in leading businesses and scaling growth, across public, PE-owned and startup companies. She has deep functional expertise in both marketing and products.

Sangeeta is a board member at The Sage Group (SGE-LN), UK’s largest technology company listed on the London Stock Exchange and constituent of the FTSE100. Sage delivers accounting and finance SaaS applications for small and medium businesses. She is also an independent board member for Direktiv.IO - an early-stage Silicon Valley Cloud software startup.

In her operating career, spanning public and private companies, Sangeeta was a General Manager, CMO, and Senior Vice President, Products with executive roles at Cisco Systems, F5 Networks, SafeNet Inc (acquired by Gemalto/Thales Group), and startups Xylan Corp & Alkira Inc.

In her most recent role, she was the CMO at Alkira, a disruptive ‘network-as-a-service’ SaaS startup funded by Sequoia Capital and Kleiner Perkins. As Senior Vice President of Product Management and Marketing at F5 (NASDAQ: FFIV – leader in cloud application security), she directly contributed to company growth from $1.5B to $2B+ over 4 years. Sangeeta also served as General Manager and Corporate Vice President at SafeNet Inc, (acquired by Gemalto /Thales Group OTCMKTS: THLLY) where she led the P&L for the data security technologies for the enterprise and service provider business. During her 12 years at Cisco Systems (NASDAQ: CSCO), in two vice presidents of technology and marketing roles, she contributed to the software and data center businesses as the company grew from $9.0B to $43B.

Sangeeta holds two MBAs, one from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and the other from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management in Pune, India. She graduated with honors from the University of Delhi, India, with a Bachelor of Science degree. As part of her continued education, she has attended executive courses at the University of California, Berkeley and at the Harvard Business School.
